On November 19th, Jeff Miner taught the coaches First Aid and CPR. We plan to implement some of his suggestions to have a safer year. That afternoon, the coaches had their on-snow training, going over the Levels one and two progression. Callie West, GMNC's adult instructor, was a great help.
The Junior Fall Camp was a great success. Gliders had 20 participants in its 4th annual fall ski camp on November 20th at Skyway. Lots of new skiers and some returning. Coaches Dave, Janie, Erin taught some first-timers all about nordic skiing, and Zach and Sarah worked with our returning skiers on some ski improvement. Annie led everyone in games after the lunch break. We played Moving Bridges, Trains, Three-Legged Race, and Elbow Tag.
